POSITION SUMMARY The Enterprise Applications Specialist is a member of the Enterprise Applications team and is responsible for the maintenance and support of various on prem and SaaS applications used by the firm's business professional teams in support of the product lifecycle. This role serves as a product expert, system administrator, and tier 2 and 3 technical support specialist for on prem and SaaS applications assigned to them. This role is the primary technical liaison for firm business teams to technical counterparts in other IS teams and external vendors and partners. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Utilize specialized knowledge of the applications within this domain to tackle the complex challenges arising from operational issues and project work, including:
- comprehensive understanding of financial business processes in a law firm supported by the applications assigned to them.
- comprehensive understanding of product features and workflows, technical administration, product architecture and design, database schema, front-end configuration settings and administration, security model, and customizations pertaining to the applications assigned to them.
- adequate knowledge of integrations, on prem and SaaS/Cloud environments, databases, identity management and authentication methods, compliance with security policies and other technical requirements necessary to support the applications assigned to them.
- Proactively follow product releases and roadmaps; research and evaluate new product features and competitive product alternatives as directed by team and project leadership.
- Participate and lead projects and initiatives related to new technologies, solutions and features to enhance the financial applications lifecycle; proactively suggest new approaches and improvements when aligned to business objectives and needs.
- Manage and perform maintenance (for on prem), deployments, installations, upgrades, migrations, configurations, unit testing, and troubleshooting as necessary for both project work and operational support / issue resolution, enlisting the assistance of IS resources, vendors and professional services providers as necessary.
- Ensure all application support processes are clearly documented and accessible from the firm's centralized IT change management platform and that documentation is maintained current.
- Train other staff members as necessary and proactively communicate about application changes to the relevant teams in IS and across the firm.
- Provide backup support to secondary applications as necessary.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- 5 + years of supporting financial and enterprise applications in a global law firm or professional services firm required.
- Must live within a commutable distance to the firm office with the ability to come into the office 3-4 days per week.
COMPETENCIES
- Work can require more than 35 hours per week to perform the essential duties of the position.
- Available on-call and after hours as necessary.
- Strong problem-solving ability.
- Interpersonal skills necessary to collaborate with coworkers and vendors and maintain effective relationships with attorneys and staff in person, by e-mail and telephone.
- Ability to present detailed or complicated information in an understandable fashion, in written or verbal form as required by the Firm.

SALARY Illinois based applicants only: The target annual salary range for this role is currently $109,000 - $141,000 based on a regular, full-time schedule. The amount of compensation offered will be determined by several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications, market data and internal equity. Total compensation includes a comprehensive healthcare benefits package, yearly retirement contribution, and may include an annual discretionary merit bonus.
