What your day in this role may involve:Our North CharlestonMachine Assistant positionsprovide essential support to Machine Operatorsand are fundamental inensuring finished product meets customer specs. These positions work on a production-rewind machine, palletizing (packing) industrial rolled-goods, customizing product in preparation for shipment - and providing a pivotal last-look in our quality-focused process.Growth-training is providedin preparation for transitioning to Machine Operator (which provides an increased wage). Team members are involved in daily manufacturing processesand successful outcomes for our facility and its customers. We're a small site, with a powerful and caring team.

What makes a successful OC-Charleston team member:

Must haves include...

• Work safely and follow all plant rules
• Be flexible, engaged and accountable
• Show initiative, be a self-starter and take ownership of assigned tasks
• High school diploma or GED
• At least 18 years old
• Experience with (and willingness to work) 8, 10 or 12-hour shifts
• Be able to:




• Participate in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM)
• Communicate, in English, in a clear and effective manner
• Work independently, as well as part of a team
• Have shift flexibility
• Read/use a tape measure and perform basic math

Past work experience with the following would also be terrific...

• Experience in manufacturing or industrial setting
• Warehouse environmentsthat areNOT climate controlled
• Basic computer / keyboard skills

There are some essential physical requirements specific to our work environment, including being able to:

• Stand for 10 - 12 hours straight
• Withstand exposure to temperature extremes; sounds or noise levels that may be uncomfortable
• Do repetitive movements (hand, arm, leg; bending and twisting at the waist; bending at the knee; squatting; lift, push and pull 40-pounds)
• Climb and descend stairs/ladder as needed for the role
• Handle, control and feel raw materials and finished goods
• Pass drug screenings (pre-hire and ongoing-random)
