Pharmacy Technician - Collegeville, PA

The successful candidate will have the following:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must be at least 17 years of age
• Must be able to work a flexible shift including evenings and weekends
• Attention to detail and be able to work under deadlines
• Strong organization skills including the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment
• Must be dependable and able to work with minimal supervision
• Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English

About Us:

Life Tree Pharmacy is a for profit subsidiary of Merakey and works with a wide range of facilities and programs to support individuals in LTC as well as the Behavioral Health and Intellectual and Developmental Disability communities.

Full Time Schedule: hours to include evenings and weekends.

About the position:

Performs and/or oversees the completion of all routine and tasks, including but not limited to:

• Supports pharmacists in the daily operations of the pharmacy.
• Package medications according to standard procedures including blister cards, unit dose packaging, compliance packaging, and vial fill.
• Assists with maintenance of an adequate inventory of medications and other supplies.
• Prepares compounds per physician's order under supervision of a pharmacist.
• Labels prescriptions accurately, including informational labels, e.g. cautionary and auxiliary labels.
• Prepares medication for delivery to customers
• Assists in maintenance and documentation of appropriate environmental controls in compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Adhere to HIPAA and FDA regulations and also maintain a clean and safe pharmacy environment
• Strives for compliance by all staff with internal controls and state and federal regulations.
