DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this role, you will manage various operations such as road maintenance, trail construction, and habitat restoration within the Clear Creek Forest District. You will work across different terrains and weather conditions to ensure that all tasks are executed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. Your responsibilities will also include performing routine maintenance on heavy equipment, which involves daily, weekly, monthly, and annual inspections. Additionally, you will be in charge of the maintenance, repair, and construction of roads, facilities, and equipment throughout the State Forest. Interested in learning more? REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year of experience as an Equipment Operator A; or
- Two years of experience in the operation of heavy construction and specialized maintenance equipment used at this level with a gross vehicle weight of 32,001 pounds or more; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience or training.
Conditions of Employment:
- This position requires possession of a Class A commercial driver's license (CDL) and any endorsements required to operate specific equipment, in order to meet operational needs.
