Senior Tax Accountant

Location: Center City Philadelphia (Rittenhouse Square)

Schedule: In Office | Full-Time

A growing public accounting and advisory firm is seeking a Senior Tax Accountant to join a collaborative, client-focused team. This position offers the opportunity to work on diverse engagements, build strong client relationships, and grow into higher level leadership roles within the firm.

Position Overview

The Senior Tax Accountant will support a broad mix of tax, advisory, and client accounting work. This role is ideal for someone who values variety, ownership, and direct involvement with firm leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Tax and Advisory
  • Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, fiduciaries, and nonprofits
  • Provide proactive tax planning and consultation
  • Communicate directly with clients to resolve issues and deliver guidance



Client Accounting and Reporting

  • Manage accounting services and recurring client needs
  • Prepare and review financial statements and reports



Collaboration and Leadership

  • Work closely with firm leaders on client engagements
  • Assist in improving processes, service delivery, and client experience


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
  • CPA license or actively pursuing CPA (required)
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in public accounting
  • Strong technical knowledge of tax law and compliance
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Highly organized, detail oriented, proactive work style
  • Experience with CCH ProSystem Fx and QuickBooks is preferred
  • Strong emotional intelligence and an entrepreneurial mindset
