Department of Medicine Job Description
The Department of Medicine is seeking a Credentialing Specialist to support the credentialing and re-credentialing processes for MU Health Care medical staff, advanced practice professionals, and University Physician (UP) billing providers. This role is responsible for coordinating and maintaining all aspects of credentials verification throughout initial appointments and ongoing reappointments, ensuring compliance with institutional, regulatory, and accreditation requirements. The ideal candidate is highly organized, self-motivated, and able to work both independently and collaboratively. They will thrive in a fast-paced environment, communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, and demonstrate exceptional professionalism, initiative, and attention to detail. High School diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities can be acquired. Anticipated Hiring Range
