We are looking for a Quality Supervisor to help us coordinate, direct, and oversee the activities of quality leadership, quality trainers, and quality technicians. As a Trex Quality Supervisor, you will be looked to as an innovator in the manufacturing process and expected to be the point person for all quality team members as it relates to attendance, employee relations, scheduling, and coordination of training and employee development. This role is a key member of our Quality team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and foster our "people first" culture
  • Develop, promote, and maintain a safe workplace. Keep safety awareness high and ensure that all employees are aware that safety is the company's number one priority.
  • Foster an engagement environment for all reporting employees.
  • Monitor and ensure company compliance with all policies and procedures, such as safety, QC inspection, human resources, etc.
  • Ensure effective employee relations. Provides employee coaching and development.
  • Resolve employee issues through problem resolution and administer discipline notices as appropriate.
  • Ensure seamless transition between shifts (i.e., assess priorities/activities/staffing for all work cells).
  • Assess individual performance of team members and coordinate training of new hires as well as ongoing production training for all employees as needed (in conjunction with Quality Leads and Trainers).
  • Ensure feedback from Leads and QC Techs is heard and addressed. "Close the Loop"
  • Support Quality Leads and Technicians in investigating quality issues, as needed, and make decisions as priorities/resources change, utilizing RCA tools such as DMAIC.
  • Perform administrative functions such as producing quality reports, supporting meetings, managing timekeeping, etc.
  • Collaborate with production shift supervisors on any previous shift quality hold to determine disposition.
  • Ensure all quality audits and retests are completed and documented on the current shift.
  • Responsible for planning crew staffing on each shift and controlling OT, while balancing employee preference and business needs
  • Ensure all labs and floor-level cabinets are 5S compliant, through Kaizen 5S events, ensuring also a collaborative environment among Quality Employees.
  • Manage proactive projects to resolve chronic issues and be involved in continuous improvement
  • Ensure a constant and consistent communication flow with QC Techs and Leads (Huddles, one-ones, etc.)
  • Ensure proper escalation is done when Safety and/or Quality Issues happen on shifts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned


DIRECT REPORTS

Manage and provide ongoing performance, coaching, and professional development opportunities for a team of Quality Leads, Quality Technicians, and Quality Trainers.

EXPERIENCE

We are looking for leaders with at least 7 years of quality & manufacturing experience at Trex or in an equivalent manufacturing environment. A minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment is also required. The ideal candidate will currently be in a quality lead or higher position and have a college degree. We want to hear from you if you have previous experience as a Quality Lead.

SALARY

Base Salary Range $75,000 - $95,000 annually.

The salary range provided serves as a general guideline for potential compensation for this position. It reflects the base salary and does not account for other benefits or additional compensation opportunities that may apply. This role is also eligible for further compensation through an annual/sales bonus, in addition to the base salary.
