The Opportunity

Genentech/Roche is looking to leverage agentic AI across the commercial value chain, including for marketing and sales, medical and government affairs and access to redefine how we engage with patients and physicians. We are seeking an exceptional Senior Business Product Manager to define and lead the platform strategy for this multi-agent system. The platform will orchestrate across different specialized platforms including content creation and review platforms, content management systems, (CMS), Digital Asset Management (DAM) platforms, CRM, Omnichannel delivery systems etc. You will build the core capabilities that accelerate time-to-market while achieving zero critical regulatory errors, regardless of the underlying tools. For a Product leader who thrives on system design and defining interaction logic across diverse enterprise technologies, this is the chance to build the foundational platform for compliant automated operations at Genentech.

The Impact You'll Make

Reporting to the Senior Director, Content Authoring & Assembly, the Senior Business Product Manager, Agentic AI will own the strategy and roadmap for multi agent orchestration, ensuring it drives compliant, autonomous workflow automation across the entire Content Lifecycle from creation in CMS/DAM to deployment.

Strategy and Vision

  • Define and articulate the long-term vision and strategy for the Master Automation/Agentic Layer as the enterprise control plane for all content workflows.

  • Own the product strategy and roadmap for core orchestration features, including module-to-module communication protocols, dynamic routing across systems, vendor-neutral tool integration frameworks, and state management for complex lifecycles.

  • Lead the decomposition of complex workflows (e.g., content versioning, MLR submission) into distinct, system-agnostic tasks that can be efficiently delegated to specialized Agentic Modules within any connected CMS or DAM platform.

  • Identify and prioritize opportunities where Master Orchestration can reduce bottlenecks and compliance risk across the entire content value chain.

Execution and Delivery

  • Design the architecture and detailed requirements for the Master Layer's reasoning engine: focusing on planning, self-correction, exception handling, and seamless handover to Human-in-the-Loop (HITL) reviewers when required.

  • Define data grounding and context sharing requirements to ensure the Master Layer and its modules only operate based on validated, current, and compliant sources, regardless of which CMS/DAM holds the source data.

  • Translate workflow requirements into detailed product specifications for underlying logic and orchestration, balancing speed and efficiency with the high bar for accuracy and auditability required by MLR.

  • Partner with Engineering and Data Science to build robust, scalable, and observable platform components that allow for transparent tracking of every automated action across all integrated systems.

  • Prototype and test new module collaboration patterns with SMEs, ensuring compliance and operational viability across platforms.

People and Collaboration

  • Champion the "Autonomous Enterprise" mindset, defining the new operating model where human teams collaborate seamlessly with automated systems residing in any platform.

  • Facilitate deep technical and business collaboration across IT, CMLR, Legal, and Global teams to secure governance for the Master Platform and standardize the inputs/outputs of all Agentic Modules, regardless of the vendor.

  • Engage deeply with internal stakeholders (Content Strategists, MLR Reviewers) to understand trust boundaries and design escalation paths that maintain confidence in automated execution.

  • Influence adjacent product teams (e.g., teams owning CRM,OMNICHANEL, or other CMS/DAM systems) on the technical requirements needed for their modules to interface with and be governed by the Master Layer.
