Title: Custodial Worker Duration: 6+ months Contract Pay rate: $18/hr w2 Location: Troy, NY 12180 Shift timings: Mon - Fri 8 AM - 5 PM BG/DT required: Yes Job Description: The Custodial Worker under the supervision of a Custodial Supervisor II, will perform routine building cleaning work and will do related work as required: Sweeps and mops floors and stairwells. Dusts woodwork, office furniture and other related equipment Wash windows, walls, blackboards, sinks, desktops and other fixtures Polish stainless steel, furniture and railings. Empty waste baskets, collect and dispose of trash and recycling Winter Snow clearing of front entranceways (10 feet) and Salt spreading Arranges chairs, tables & other equipment for special use of facility buildings Replace paper products, soap and air freshening products in labs and restrooms. Strip, seal and finish floors during summer or lag periods. Required Skills: Working knowledge of building cleaning practices, supplies & equipment. Ability to follow simple oral instructions. Willingness to perform routine cleaning and other manual tasks. Ability to get along well with other co-workers and staff. Thoroughness, dependability and good physical condition with the ability to lift at least 25 lbs.
