Electroplating Manufacturing Manager

Penn United Technologies is pleased to announce an excellent management opportunity to join our team as our Electroplating Manufacturing Manager. As our Electroplating division continues to grow, we are in search of a strong manufacturing leader with 5-10 years of manufacturing management experience to assume this key manufacturing leadership position. The Manufacturing Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the manufacturing process for our Electroplating group, including scheduling and supervising staff, planning production schedules and managing budgets. They ensure all staff are maintaining quality standards, company policies and best practices while also maintaining safe working conditions and analyze and optimize processes to identify ways to improve efficiency and increase productivity.

Responsibilities:










  • Lead and manage the schedules and activities of team members engaged in design, manufacturing, development, assembly, and/or inspection of product, ensuring all resources are utilized efficiently and goals are accomplished.




  • Ensure compliance to and enforce all safety guidelines in accordance with Federal, State OSHA and company policies.




  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and Penn United Business Systems requirements.




  • Plan personnel needs and participate in the selection of new team members, promotion and transfer of existing personnel, disciplinary actions and terminations as necessary.




  • Select, train and motivate personnel, set goals and support career development and provide regular performance evaluations and feedback.




  • Identify potential team leaders and develop their technical, business and people skills.




  • Provide guidance and support to manufacturing staff, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, company policies and best practices.




  • Foster a positive work environment by promoting teamwork, cooperation, and professional growth.




  • Work closely with the sales, engineering, and other pertinent groups to ensure proper customer/job requirements and assist with quotations when requested.




  • Manage production schedules and strive for all projects to meet customer commitment, satisfaction and completion dates, while encouraging team members to understand and support delivery requirements




  • Work with the Manager - Operations or Vice President to determine delivery dates, monitor sales changes, recommend changes in capital equipment expenditures and make cost effective decisions regarding schedules and overtime

  • Work with General Manager or Vice President on specific group goals and with planning capital expenditures according to the Manufacturing/Marketing plan.

  • Conduct regular group meetings to communicate goals, performance, quality, production schedules and other pertinent matters and hold all team members accountable to them.

  • Manager material and plant supply/shipment ratio and hold Team Leaders accountable for approved ratio.

  • Monitor profit and loss by product, evaluate against quoted numbers and responsible for information relative to group or team performance.


Qualifications

Qualifications:





  • 5 -10 years' experience in manufacturing management or related field.
  • Bachelor's Degree in business management or manufacturing engineering preferred
  • Advanced technical knowledge relevant to department (electroplating) and ability to keep up to date with new developments
  • Integrate knowledge of manufacturing processes, company capabilities and customer needs
  • Excellent management and supervisory skills
  • Committed to team development, product and service excellence
  • Strong problem-solving, trouble-shooting skills and attention to detail
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and able to quickly learn and use required computer software effectively
  • Excellent organizational skills, self-motivated, and able to effectively manage multiple tasks.
  • Strong ability to professionally communicate using both verbal and written skills.
