Job Overview:

The Inside Sales & Service Team Leader is responsible for coaching the Inside Sales team to achieve the Area's key performance indicators while providing an exceptional customer experience. This is a working people leader position that is responsible for developing, training, motivating and leading daily responsibilities of the inside sales team. The role is responsible for all sales support from customer inquiry to delivery. The Inside Sales team is split into three key functions: new equipment order and service contract entry, aftermarket parts, and equipment rentals.

Responsibilities:

  • People Leadership - Effectively recruit, coach, and develop Inside Sales team members through effective performance goals and development plans. Develop and deliver new hire onboarding, and process and systems training. Manage performance of direct reports through 1:1 employee coaching, mid-year, and annual performance reviews.
  • Achieve business objectives - Create and update standard work, set and track performance targets, analyze variances, and initiate process improvements. Analyze orders, customer feedback, and market data to effectively solve problems, influence sales growth, and implement solutions to drive growth and achieve results.
  • Optimize work processes - Identify opportunities to standardize and improve processes using lean methodology. Utilize problem solving and analytical skills to improve performance, enhance customer satisfaction, and drive efficiency. Report on metrics and use lean tools to solve problems, drive continuous improvement and manage through change.
  • Compliance - Ensure environmental, health, and safety compliance, and ensure processes for internal audit compliance controls are met. Verify all month-end checklists and inventory reconciliations are completed with supporting documentation for the entire Inside Sales team. Assist with the internal audit process.
  • Inventory Process Management - Drive process improvements in inventory management and transaction accuracy. Lead and support site preparations for annual physical inventory.
  • Cross Function Collaboration - Partner with sales team on order processing to minimize errors, increase accountability, and maximize on time delivery. Partner with service team to drive optimal customer experience and increase communication to reduce delays in new and rented equipment start-up, installation, and invoicing.
  • Order Execution - Ensure all paperwork and approval requirements are met with accuracy to reduce errors and disputed invoices. Build an Inside Sales team that will effectively manage communications and orders from initial inquiry through to delivery.
  • Quote Generation - Support Inside Sales team with quote preparation and submission for customer requests, while looking for opportunities to continue growing our business with each account.
  • Internal Network - Build strong relationships with key factory resources for expediting, data management for accounts and credit, and account managers for processes and questions.



Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of experience in the sales and service industry required.
  • This position is highly physical and requires regular use of hands, fingers, walking, stooping, and kneeling. It requires employees to regularly lift and or move up to 10 lbs. and occasionally lift and or move 40+ lbs.

  • Proven ability to build a team that can form strong customer relationships, deliver exceptional customer service, and provide customer-centric solutions.
  • Exceptional organization, communication (verbal and written), and follow-up skills with the ability to effectively manage a high volume of priorities and commitments with internal and external customers in a highly visible, fast-paced work environment.
  • Proven ability to collaborate, influence and support change with stakeholders across multiple levels of a global organization. Ability to build cross-functional partnerships to meet shared strategic business objectives, and drive employee engagement.
  • Action-oriented with the ability to think and act strategically to manage complexity, adapt to each unique situation, and remove obstacles for the Inside Sales team to achieve business results.



Preferences:

  • Strong knowledge of Salesforce (or other CRM platform) and Oracle/ SAP preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office required; ability to navigate internal software programs will be needed after hire.
  • Strong analytical skills including experience with analytical tools



Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements:

  • This position will be based at one of the 6 regional offices listed above, with travel required to the other regional offices for meetings, employee on-boarding and training, and other business needs as they arise.
  • Up to 25% travel expected.



Pay Range:

The total pay range for this role, including incentive opportunities, is $70,000 - $100,000. The pay range takes into account a wide range of factors that include a candidate's skills; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and geographic location. Hired applicant will be eligible to participate in the incentive compensation plan applicable to their role.
