About Us:

Contech Engineered Solutions needs a 3D Modeling & Printing Intern - Infrastructure to join our Cincinnati, Ohio team. This Intern will work closely with the design team who act in a consultative role. The intern will proactively support the 3D Printing/Modeling Animation team to provide models (Printed and/or Digital) for marketing and to build civil engineering client relationships and meet the commercial objectives of the company.

About the Role:


  • Produce product models to the field marketing team for demonstrations to civil engineering clients.
  • Provide quality designed and scaled 3D models.
  • Establish a rapport and work effectively with internal members from all infrastructure teams to achieve their goals.
  • Respond to marketing requests in a timely manner.
  • Good communication is required with immediate team members.
  • Manage and track projects in the 3d printing queue while monitoring the quality of active 3d prints.
  • Maintain the list of 3D printing scales and print slicer requirements.
  • Import model STL's into the appropriate 3D Slicer (Creality/Bamboo/Cure/Orca).
  • Troubleshoot and maintain 3D Printing equipment.
  • Interact with a laser etch machine and cut base plates using appropriate equipment.
  • Assemble modular 3D printed models.

Qualifications:


  • Recent graduate or final-year student in 3D Design, Animation, Architecture, Industrial Design, or related field.
  • Open to long-term internship (e.g., 6-12 months).
  • 3D Printing and CAD modeling in Fusion preferred.
  • Ability to prepare and understand basic engineering drawings.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to get the job done in a highly interactive process.
  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills.
  • Computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, Fusion, Inventor, Model slicers listed above, basic AutoCAD).
