We are looking for a Moon to Mars Exploration and Operations Integration Engineer (Senior Project Engineer- Systems Engineering). This position will support the Moon to Mars (M2M) Program integrating operations focused activities with strategy and architecture efforts and commercial transportation systems. M2M provides agency leadership for the development, analysis, integration, and implementation of human spaceflight architectures, mission plans, operational activities and spacecraft/surface system definitions. In this role, you will coordinate and collaborate across Artemis to develop and address matters for inflight, orbital and surface operations.

The selected candidate will be required to work full-time on-site at Johnson Space Center, Houston, TX, Huntsville, AL, or Washington, D.C.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Architect,developand integrateexplorationoperationsscenariosforinflight andsurface operations
  • Serve as a key integrator for Exploration Operations across Artemis topics
  • Support and lead formulation of commercial transportation system activities
  • Defineoperationaltechnical requirementsforhumanmissions
  • Perform assessments, readiness evaluations
  • Collaborate with NASA missionarchitects/designersand programexperts across government and industryto develop and negotiate operational needs and scenarios
  • Review contractor deliverables and NASA requirements to ensure compliance and system effectivenessto support operational needs
  • Contribute to standards development and documentationsupporting exploration operations, in addition to management of keyprogramplans/products
  • Support facility and infrastructure related topics and planning
  • Participate in technical, safety, and integration working groups
  • Plan, manage, and report on analyses, studies, and tests of components and systems
  • Develop technical and progress reports to support internal teams and external partners
  • Lead and support technical interchange meetings, hardware reviews, and key design milestones
  • Prepare clear, actionable reports and presentations for program offices and NASA leadership
  • Act as a representativein technical reviews, conferences, and workshops with NASA and international stakeholders

What You Need to be Successful - Senior Project Engineer- Systems Engineering

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, science, or another related STEM discipline
  • 10or more years of increasingly responsible professional engineering/scientific experience, including experience in a systems engineeringandprogram lifecycleenvironment
  • Vast experience in human exploration architecture,integrationandmission operations
  • Experience in mission formulation, planning, andexecution
  • Knowledge and understanding of the NASA program life cycle and associated milestone reviewsand coordinating across teams to drive operations outcomes
  • Ability to effectivelyutilizeoral and written communication to express technical concepts and recommendations to personnel at all technical and managerial levels
  • Demonstrated initiative andability toestablishand maintain effective working relationships withinternal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent presentation and communications skills, including development of and briefing of decision packages and complex information in a succinct and polished manner
  • Proven expertise working across diverse teams andmultipleengineering disciplines, including human in the loop disciplines
  • This positionmayrequiretheability to obtain andmaintaina security clearance, which is issued by the U.S. government. U.S. citizenship isrequiredto obtain a security clearance

We offer a competitive compensation package where you'll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to our business. The grade-based pay range for this job is listed below. Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skills.

$151,300.00 - $226,900.00 Pay Basis: Annual
