Plumbing Materials Logistics Manager

Hillpointe is seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Plumbing Materials & Quality Control Manager to support multifamily construction projects by ensuring plumbing installations meet quality standards, code requirements, and project specifications. While this role includes coordination of plumbing materials and logistics, the primary focus is on-site quality control, inspections, and code compliance. The ideal candidate has strong field experience, working knowledge of plumbing codes, and the ability to partner closely with project teams to prevent issues before they impact schedule or cost.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

This position plays a critical role in maintaining plumbing quality across multiple job sites by verifying compliance with the International Plumbing Code (IPC), Uniform Plumbing Code (UPC), and applicable local codes. The role requires frequent site presence, collaboration with field teams, and bilingual fluency in English and Spanish to support effective communication with subcontractors and vendors.

Key Responsibilities



  • Conduct on-site plumbing quality control inspections to ensure work meets IPC, UPC, local code, and project standards
  • Identify installation deficiencies, document findings, and coordinate corrective actions with subcontractors and project teams
  • Review plumbing drawings, specifications, and submittals to confirm compliance and constructability
  • Provide field support during inspections, rough-ins, and final walkthroughs
  • Serve as a code resource for project managers, superintendents, and foremen
  • Communicate clearly in both English and Spanish with subcontractors, inspectors, and site personnel
  • Monitor proper material usage, storage, and installation practices on job sites
  • Coordinate plumbing material procurement and delivery to support field operations as needed
  • Track material availability, resolve shortages, and recommend compliant alternatives
  • Support logistics planning while maintaining a primary focus on quality, compliance, and field execution


Qualifications



  • 3-5 years of experience in plumbing, construction quality control, or construction logistics with strong field exposure
  • Multifamily construction experience strongly preferred
  • Working knowledge of IPC and UPC plumbing codes; ability to interpret local amendments
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (required)
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and plumbing submittals
  • Strong attention to detail with a proactive, problem-solving mindset
  • Experience working directly with subcontractors and inspection authorities
  • Construction, plumbing, or quality control certifications are a plus
  • Ability to manage multiple active job sites simultaneously
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills
  • Willingness to travel frequently to job sites
