Position Overview

The Entry-Level Aircraft Engineer will be assigned onsite with a major regional air carrier in the DFW area. You will support aircraft systems, maintenance engineering, and reliability initiatives while working closely with internal teams, vendors, and regulatory partners.

This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and a commitment to safety and quality.


Job Responsibilities

  • Review technical service documents for applicability, legality, and reliability or safety improvements related to assigned aircraft systems
  • Interface with type certificate holders, equipment suppliers, FAA representatives, and external engineering organizations to resolve technical issues and obtain approvals
  • Provide engineering guidance and documentation to support aircraft maintenance activities
  • Generate internal engineering documents and modification instructions for maintenance and quality personnel
  • Support assigned aircraft systems such as airframe interiors, hydraulics, pneumatics, flight controls, air conditioning, electrical power, and landing gear
  • Monitor system performance and identify adverse reliability trends impacting dispatch reliability
  • Develop short-term and long-term corrective action recommendations
  • Present project status updates and recommendations to management
  • Coordinate with Technical Publications to submit and incorporate documentation changes
  • Support internal and client meetings
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications and Experience Requirements

  • U.S. citizen or authorized to work in the United States
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Aerospace Engineering from an accredited university
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
  • Strong computer skills including document management, web-based applications, and shared network systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Strong attention to detail and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment without compromising safety or quality
  • Strong problem-solving skills using root-cause analysis and corrective action planning
  • Willingness to travel on short notice and work nights, weekends, or holidays as required
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently
  • Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods
  • Prior aircraft-related experience strongly preferred
  • Airframe and/or Powerplant license preferred
  • Willingness to comply with confidentiality and non-disclosure requirements
  • Ability to pass a drug screen and criminal background check
