Job Responsibilities

The General Foreman supervises and directs daily activities of pole and pad mount inspections and painting projects to ensure their team is working safely and efficiently. This position has a mix of onsite and administrative responsibilities to be completed each day. This position works closely with the management team as well as customer project managers.

  • Conduct meetings with employees as needed to review safety approach, changing conditions (weather, repairs, etc.), along with specifics for the day.
  • Plan schedules and ensures project procedures and schedules are followed by directing crew activities.
  • Ensure scope of work is being followed.
  • Ensure all required equipment and supplies are available as needed for the project.
  • Review daily production.
  • Monitor all aspects of safety.
  • Perform quality control inspections.
  • Ensure daily time records are recorded for each employee.
  • Monitor employee compliance with regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Arrange equipment repairs or rentals as needed to complete projects.
  • Respond to internal and external inquiries.
  • Organize and manage field project documents.
  • Communicate with customers as needed to resolve issues.
  • Other assigned duties.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in the utility services industry
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Requires high level of detail, accuracy, and follow-up.
  • Capable of handling multiple projects in a fast-moving environment
  • Motivated, self-starter, creative thinker who can offer solutions to various challenges.
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Maintain professional relationships with clients, vendors, managers, and peers.
  • Solid computers skills; basic Microsoft Excel experience.
  • Possess a valid driver's license.
  • Obtain a valid Pesticide Applicators License from your state of residence within 90 days of awarded position.
  • Have the ability to perform all job functions from field positions.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Willingness and ability to travel 100%
