POSITION SUMMARY

The Materials Planner is responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of materials planning, procurement, and inventory management to ensure that production goals are met effectively and efficiently. This role will work closely with various departments to forecast material needs, maintain optimal inventory levels, and ensure that production schedules align with customer demands.

The Materials Planner is responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of materials planning, procurement, and inventory management to ensure that production goals are met effectively and efficiently. This role will work closely with various departments to forecast material needs, maintain optimal inventory levels, and ensure that production schedules align with customer demands.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Analyze production schedules and inventory levels to determine material requirements.
  • Forecast future material needs based on production schedules and historical data.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Monitor inventory levels and reorder materials as necessary to minimize shortages or excesses.
  • Utilize ERP systems to track and manage inventory levels.
  • Work closely with production teams to adjust material plans based on shifting demands.
  • Conduct regular reviews of supplier performance.
  • Implement and maintain materials planning processes to improve efficiency.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in materials planning or inventory management within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient in ERP software; experience with MS Office applications is a must.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
