Covia is looking for a dynamic Control Room Operator who will have a positive impact on the Operations team location in Elco, IL.

The successful incumbent will have the following Key Accountabilities:



  • Work in a safe manner and abide by all Covia and MSHA safety rules, regulations, and best practices
  • Ability to operate a fluid bed dryer
  • Ability to operate a pebble mill
  • Ability to run quality control tests on products made
  • Use of hand tools and trade type tools
  • Working in a physically demanding work environment
  • Willingness to work overtime and cover off shifts



The successful incumbent will have the following Minimum Qualifications:



  • High School diploma or GED required
  • 2-3 years of experience preferred.


  • Previous experience within grinding, classifying and conveying systems a plus
