Responsibilities:


  • Ability to follow all Ingersoll Rand safety regulations.
    Attentive to detail, information processed must be accurate to insure exports are not held up due to errors.
  • Have the ability to use basic math skills to calculate freight, storage, duty and other charges
  • Arrange import shipments with carriers, overseas agents and offices as well as trucking companies while ensuring documentation is complete, accurate and in a timely manner
  • Process final invoices accurately
  • Must have strong communications skills and basic computer skills. They must also manage their own time while also coordinating with other teams, dealing with customers. Preferred experience in programs are (Oracle ITS, R12, Excel, Kewill, Worldship).
  • Calculating weight, volume and cost of goods being moved
  • Coordinating release and entry processing for ocean and air export shipments. - Ensuring all shipment documentation is in compliance with customs rules and regulations
  • Handles customer service requests relative to the transportation of cargo and costs via a DLC shared mailbox.
  • Act as main point of contact for freight carriers and forwarders
  • Must prioritize work and escalate when required. Evaluate and select proper course of action quickly to make sure deadlines are met
  • Demonstrate solid decision-making skills and ability to prioritize ever-changing daily tasks
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team - To be prepared to learn all aspects of the team's work with desire and ability to provide cover and assistance on a regular basis
  • Candidate should process a desire to progress within the team demonstrating the ability to take on more responsibility in time.
  • Strive to improve processes for efficiency and quality.
  • Desire to participate and lead 9 step problem solving activities.
  • All other duties as requested


Requirements:


  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 6+ months of experience in a manufacturing environment

Preferences:
  • Previous Material Handling experience (cherry/reach lift experience preferred)
  • Ability to drive equipment or desire to learn to drive warehouse power equipment.

  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skill.
  • Proven team player.



Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements
  • This position will be based on-site
  • Standing and/or walking for entire shift and ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment
  • Bending and/or stooping repeatedly throughout shift
  • Lift and/or carry up to 40 pounds unassisted on a regular basis
  • Be able to work in a non-climate controlled environment
