The purpose of this position is to support credit risk and financial exposure due to the need to extend unsecured credit to customers. This position is responsible for identifying obligated entity, performing comprehensive business and credit reviews for domestic and international entities and recommending credit line and payment terms in accordance with finance policy. Responsible for determining the impace of established credit terms on the company's net working capital and identify and recommend opportunities to improve. Serves as a resource to existing and potential customer accounts. Supports more than 300 sales acct exec internationally and coordinates with other oPCo accounts.

Reviews and establishes credit lines and payment terms for all us customers (8,000 accounts with acct rec balances in excess of $100 mill) in accordance with policy. Includes new customer reviews, annual credit updates, ad hoc internal requests, as well as the review of accounts over their credit limit, with an established authority level of $100,000. Performs business and credit investigations on domestic and international entities by requesting, accessing, understanding and analyzing key fin and operating data, both integral and external. Must access enterprise level customer value in order to establish an appropriate unsecured credit line and payment terms. Creates and maintains accurate and complete customer credit files (paper and/or electronic) using tools such as d&b risk assessment manager, dnbi, the credit exchange, public filings. Obtains reviews and applies an understanding of necessary documents and info, such as credit app, service repayment agreement, financial statements, cross op-co business exp. To protect financial interests and obj of company. Works proactively with sales, ops, management and customers (logistics an d finance management) to make decisions on credit lines, how to best accommodate incremental business and credit needs for existing customers, making the risk of marginal or poor credit accounts, including making decisions regarding account coding, restriction and the holding and release of freight as needed. Interfaces with collections, customer account set up, operations performing invoicing function and others as needed to address customer service related issues and coordinate resolution with customers. Updates and maintains credit info (credit limit, credit extension rationale, restriction and other credit related info) in numerous finance systems (coda, ep) to provide collectors and other employees with the necessary info to manage customer accounts. Actively participates in the proposal process for new business by reviewing potential customer's financial health and providing input on acceptable financial terms. Performs other duties as assigned.

Associate's degree in business or equivalent experience. Three (3) yrs of experience in commercial credit investigation, analysis and extension or collections. Must have an understanding of us customs brokerage and global freight forwarding concepts. Accounting or finance experience and an under- standing of financial statements preferred. Must have good analytical and communications skills. Must have good organizational skills and attention to detail. Must have computer skills in a windows environment and be proficient in Excel and word. Must be self-assured to defend actions and withstand argument from clerk to officer challenges.

Pay Transparency: This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role across all potential locations. If this opportunity includes multiple job levels, the range is a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary for the lowest level to the current starting salary of the highest level. Actual starting pay would be determined by experience relative to the job, market level, pay at the location for this job and other job-related factors permitted by law. An employee may be eligible for additional pay, premiums, or bonus potential. The Company offers eligible employees health, vision and dental insurance, retirement, and tuition reimbursement.
