Position Summary

The Shipping & Receiving Coordinator I will perform warehouse work related to the receipt, shipment, storage, distribution, or delivery of products, parts, and materials. Loads, unloads, moves, or stores items according to delivery or routing documents or supervisor instructions. Operation of hand truck, powered forklift, stretch wrapper, bander, or other heavy equipment. This person is also cross-trained in other various functions.

What You'll do as a Shipping & Receiving Coordinator I

  • Print pick tickets, pull, scan, and package stock to prepare outbound domestic and international shipments
  • Freight rate according to shipping method, i.e. Parcel, LTL carrier, etc.
  • Contact carrier representative to arrange logistics for incoming/outgoing freight.
  • Prepare a bill of lading as appropriate for shipment type.
  • Assist with cycle counts and other inventory control activities.
  • Assist with inventory management of shipping supplies, factory supplies or other supplies needed.
  • Perform PO receipts.
  • Load and unload trucks.
  • Communicate effectively all issues and priorities to team members and supervisor verbally and/or via e-mail.
  • Operate tow motor, electric pallet jack, hand bander, wrapper, manual pallet jack, and other equipment in a safe manner.
  • Comply with all safety, security, and shop practice requirements.
  • Maintain a high standard of housekeeping and warehouse organization including 5S standards.
  • Maintain a high level of transfer integrity for all system transactions.
  • Prepare outgoing shipments, including sterile and non-sterile products.
  • Cross-train to back up other warehouse duties as needed.
  • Train new team members to work instruction standards.
  • Participate in a plant improvement team such as the Safety Committee, JSA Team, etc.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

The Experience, Skills and Abilities Needed

Required:



  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 2+ years of shipping and receiving or warehouse experience.



Preferred:



  • Forklift and powered pallet jack experience considered a plus.

Pay range for this opportunity is $17.00 -$19.00. This position is eligible for bonus participation.

Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed. Pay rates are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to local labor market costs, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language fluency, etc.
