LabWare LIMS Master Data Management Analyst (Remote)

Job Title: LabWare LIMS Master Data Management Analyst

Location: Remote (United States)

Contract Length: 1-year contract with potential for full-time conversion

Pay Rate: Up to $40 an hour (flexible based on experience; higher rates may be considered for strong candidates)

Work Schedule: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (West Coast hours preferred; flexibility required)

About the Role

We are seeking a highly hands-on LabWare LIMS Master Data Management Analyst to support a global LabWare LIMS implementation. This role will focus heavily on master data creation, governance, troubleshooting, and change control ownership across multiple environments and sites.

The ideal candidate has deep LabWare master data experience, is comfortable working in a pharmaceutical GxP environment, and can actively support building, maintaining, and improving LIMS implementations. This role collaborates closely with cross-functional teams across West Coast, Central, and East Coast time zones, with the core team based in Irvine, CA.

Key Responsibilities



  • Design, develop, and document methodologies for verifying and validating LabWare LIMS master data, including:


    • Analyses
    • Products
    • Item Codes
    • Locations
    • Instruments
    • Sample Plans


  • Own and manage change control activities related to LabWare LIMS master data.
  • Support building block production and master data setup for new implementations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve master data issues across environments and sites.
  • Assist local sites with master data verification, validation, and remediation activities.
  • Provide ongoing LabWare LIMS administrative support to local and global teams.
  • Implement version control and configuration management using LabWare configuration packages.
  • Facilitate migration and promotion of master data between environments (DEV, TEST, PROD).
  • Train users involved in master data promotion and configuration activities.
  • Define and manage access controls and permissions in collaboration with Corporate IT.
  • Establish and enforce naming conventions and optimal configurations for test methods.
  • Create and maintain a standardized library of test methods categorized by type.
  • Harmonize master data across global sites and develop system-wide standards and best practices.
  • Provide ongoing support and issue resolution for master data-related challenges.



Required Skills & Experience



  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with LabWare LIMS, with a strong focus on master data management.
  • Proven experience creating, harmonizing, deploying, and fixing LabWare master data.
  • Strong knowledge of the LabWare LIMS Execution Module.
  • Experience supporting LabWare implementations and system builds.
  • Solid understanding of data governance, validation, version control, and configuration management.
  • Experience working in pharmaceutical GxP-regulated environments (required).
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with a hands-on, problem-solving mindset.
  • Experience with LabWare integrations (e.g., SAP) is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with global, cross-functional teams.



Preferred Qualifications



  • Background in pharmaceutical, biotech, or life sciences industries.
  • Chemistry or Biology education or professional experience (preferred).
  • Experience supporting global deployments with site-specific configurations.



Additional Details



  • Core team is based in Irvine, CA.
  • West Coast hours preferred; must be willing to support East Coast and Central time zones.
  • Role requires a very hands-on contributor who can actively build, support, and troubleshoot LabWare systems.
  • Overtime may be required during critical implementation phases; flexible scheduling available.

The base pay range listed reflects what we reasonably expect to offer for this role. Actual pay may vary based on location, experience, and performance.
