R&D Engineering Technician - Medical Device Industry

As an R&D Technician, you'll operate independently to support research and development teams in creating, testing, and refining prototypes that lead to life-changing medical solutions. You'll design and build mechanical prototypes, document your work using CAD software, and contribute your ideas to enhance product design, materials, and processes. Your ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage multiple project priorities will help drive innovation and quality at every step.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Build and test prototypes and products following engineering instructions.
  • Support R&D with design documentation using CAD tools.
  • Propose creative, technically sound solutions for design and process challenges.
  • Partner with internal teams and approved vendors to source materials and services.
  • Ensure compliance with quality system requirements and contribute to maintaining high-quality standards.




Qualifications:



  • Associate degree or equivalent experience with 3+ years in a technical role.
  • Medical device or R&D experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of product development and mechanical design tools.
