GENERAL SUMMARY:



Plays a vital role in supporting the coordination and execution of clinical research studies. Ensures the smooth operation of research projects, maintaining compliance with regulatory standards and contributing to the advancement of medical knowledge.



PRINCIPAL JOB FUNCTIONS:



1. *Commits to the mission, vision, beliefs and consistently demonstrates our core values.

2. *Assists study coordinators in the implementation and administration of research studies, including tasks such as study enrollment, data collection, and study closeout.

3. *Screens potential research subjects to assess their eligibility for the study and coordinates the scheduling of study visits.

4. *Aides in the collection, processing, and storage of specimens across various clinical research protocols.

5. *Contributes to the collection, compilation, and documentation of clinical research data from diverse sources, including medical records, interviews, questionnaires, and diagnostic tests.

6. *Ensures adherence to established study timelines and protocols by coordinating and executing tasks as required.

7. *Maintains compliance with regulatory and institutional requirements.

8. Supports the overall administrative functioning of clinical research projects, including project development, implementation, budget monitoring, and protocol development.

9. Assists in troubleshooting issues, ensuring effective communication, protocol compliance, and documentation of problems and their resolutions.

10. Communicates and collaborates effectively with all levels of the multidisciplinary healthcare and research team, staff, study participants, and other stakeholders.

11. Adheres to laboratory and regulatory protocols and policies.

12. Aids in maintaining current regulatory documents, as necessary.

13. Maintains professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations to keep abreast of latest trends in field of expertise.

14. Actively participates in meetings, committees, and departmental projects as assigned.

15. Performs additional related projects and duties as assigned.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

1. Strong knowledge understanding of medical terminology.

2. Knowledge of computer hardware equipment and software applications relevant to work functions.

3. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

4. Ability to perform crucial conversations with desired outcomes.

5. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of personnel and medical staff.

6. Ability to problem solve and engage independent critical thinking skills.

7. Ability to maintain confidentiality relevant to sensitive information.

8. Ability to prioritize work demands and work with minimal supervision.

9. Ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance.



EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:



High school diploma or equivalent. One (1) year of related experience and/or training or its equivalent in combined education and experience.



OTHER CREDENTIALS / CERTIFICATIONS:



Basic Life Support (CPR) certification required. Bryan Health recognizes American Heart Association (for healthcare professionals), American Red Cross (for healthcare professionals) and the Military Training Network.



PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

(Physical Requirements are based on federal criteria and assigned by Human Resources upon review of the Principal Job Functions.)



(DOT) - Characterized as medium work requiring exertion of 35 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects including the human body.
