What You'll Do:
Ready to shape how world-class products get made? Pelican is looking for a Manufacturing Engineering Lead who loves solving complex production challenges, building better processes, and driving innovation on the factory floor. In this role, you'll influence product design, optimize tooling and workflows, introduce automation, and help new products launch smoothly into production. If you thrive at the intersection of engineering and operations, this is your playground.
- Act as the senior technical expert for manufacturing engineering projects.
- Partner early with Design Engineering to make products easier to build and scale.
- Own manufacturing methods, tooling, equipment needs, and process documentation.
- Standardize workflows and build clear work instructions that make production smoother.
- Lead Lean/Kaizen/Six Sigma improvement initiatives to boost efficiency and quality.
- Drive automation concepts and deployments to modernize production.
- Collaborate with vendors on tooling and equipment; manage related MRP/BOO data.
- Support NPI teams to ensure new products hit the floor on time and ready for scale.
- Troubleshoot production issues and support root cause/corrective actions.
- Jump in with Sales/Customer teams when engineering expertise is needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For:
- Must have in-depth knowledge of manufacturing.
- AA or BS Degree in Manufacturing Engineering or related field, with 5 or more year's on-the-job experience.
- Must have excellent analytical and organizational skills, and be detail-oriented. Knowledge of Six Sigma methodology to a green or black belt level an advantage.
- Understand and apply value stream and lean manufacturing principles.
- Must have excellent written, presentation and verbal communication skills.
- An understanding of CAD and the Design Engineering document controls.
- Must be proficient with Excel or other spreadsheet software; familiarity with MRP systems preferred.

What You May Be Doing:

Compensation & Benefits: Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across severalU.S. geographic markets. Base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range.
