The Department of Otolaryngology Head amp; Neck Surgery at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is seeking aComprehensive (General) Otolaryngologistto join anationally recognized, top-ranked academic departmentduring a period of significant clinical growth and expansion. This position focuses on thefull scope of general otolaryngology practice, including the evaluation and management of common and complex disorders of the ear, nose, throat, and head and neck. Clinical responsibilities include outpatient and inpatient care, comprehensive otolaryngologic evaluation, medical management, and surgical care appropriate to a general otolaryngology practice, as well as perioperative care and longitudinal case management. The successful candidate will practice within arapidly expanding clinical enterprise, supported by multiple new and growing outpatient centers and the opening of abrand-new hospital facilitywithin The Ohio State University health system. This growth has created a strong and sustainable need for comprehensive otolaryngology services and offers the opportunity to build a high-volume, impactful clinical practice within a stable academic environment. The Department of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is a nationally recognized leader in ear, nose, and throat (ENT) care, combining advanced clinical services with academic excellence in research and education. As a distinct academic department within the Ohio State College of Medicine, it offers comprehensive diagnosis, treatment, and surgical management for a full spectrum of otolaryngologic conditions affecting adults and children. Committed to delivering exceptionally safe, high-quality, value-based care, the department has earned national distinction most recently rated among the top ENT programs in the United States by U.S. News amp; World Report. The departments clinical expertise spans general and specialized ENT care, including allergy and immunology, audiology and hearing disorders, facial plastic and reconstructive surgery, sinus and skull base surgery, head and neck cancer treatment, pediatric otolaryngology, sleep apnea management, and voice and swallowing disorders. It is supported by state-of-the-art facilities, including the Ohio State Eye and Ear Institute, the James Cancer Hospital, and outpatient clinics serving central Ohio. In addition to exceptional patient care, the department plays a vital role in training the next generation of otolaryngologists. Its educational mission includes instruction for medical students, residency training, and eight fellowship programs across multiple subspecialties within Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery. A strong emphasis on research drives innovation in basic science and clinical practice, resulting in numerous publications and contributions to advancements in the field.
