Responsibilities
  • Write/debug low-level code (systems engineering) dealing with writing data to disks fast, checksums, performance, IOps, networking, etc.
  • Build real-time data ingestion services which supports millions of messages being processed per second with 99.99% service availability.
  • Build highly reliable distributed storage systems which supports low latency/high throughput for ingestion relying on proven technologies like Azure Service Fabric.
  • Support hundreds of thousands of Azure applications where the messaging services are the backbone for core features like: Triggering of event notifications, asynchronous, reliable communication, telemetry and diagnostics.
  • Ensure high availability and reliability by designing and writing high quality and very well tested code

Qualifications

Required/MinimumQualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, Python, or Rust OR equivalent experience.

Other Requirements

Abilityto meet Microsoft,customerand/or government security screening requirements arerequiredfor this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check:

  • This position will berequiredto pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred/Additional Qualifications

  • 4+ years with Solid CS fundamentals, fluent in multi-threaded, asynchronous programming, clear inclination for architecting at scale.
  • Systems engineering experience
  • Debugging skills
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new tools and processes

Software Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $158,400 - $258,000 per year.
