Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking a Marketing Manager to join our dynamic marketing team! This Marketing Manager will lead a marketing team responsible for elevating the firm's visibility, positioning, and pursuit success within key markets. Expanding beyond proposal development, this role drives integrated marketing strategies that strengthen client relationships, enhance brand impact, and support business growth. Combining leadership, strategy, and creativity, the Marketing Manager partners with business development and technical leaders to translate market priorities into actionable marketing plans. They guide their team in producing strategic, high-quality deliverables, proposals, presentations, campaigns, and content that reflect a deep understanding of client needs and firm strengths. Acting as both coach and collaborator, the Marketing Manager builds team capability, fosters innovation, and ensures consistency, quality, and alignment across all marketing initiatives and materials
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage a team of Marketing Senior, Specialists and Coordinators, providing clear direction, coaching, and performance feedback to ensure quality, accountability, and professional growth.
- Lead recruitment, onboarding, and professional development efforts to attract, grow, and retain a high-performing marketing team aligned with firm goals and evolving market needs.
- Partner in business development strategies to engage prospective clients, differentiated value propositions, and client relationship initiatives.
- Manage quality control and QA/QC for all marketing deliverables for clarity, quality, and compliance.
- Ensure consistent branding, messaging, and visual identity across all materials.
- Analyze research data related to clients, competitors, and prospective markets - share findings with business development and local leaders.
- Participate in strategic planning in collaboration with firm leadership and business development team.
- Develop and implement regional/market marketing strategies in alignment with firm-wide and national market objectives.
- Monitor legislative and/or regulatory activities that could affect the need for services.
- Collaborate with other Marketing Leaders to share best practices and maintain consistency across offices.
- Track marketing metrics and pursuit outcomes to inform strategy and continuous improvement.
- Manage workloads and deadlines to balance priorities across multiple pursuits and initiatives.
- Foster a collaborative, creative, and positive team culture that supports professional growth.
- Collaborate with leadership on workload planning, training, marketing standards, and department goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Graphic Design, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
- 7+ years proposal writing experience in A/E/C or professional services industry including staff management and knowledge of business development.
- In lieu of degree, 8+ years of related experience.
- Certified Professional Services Marketer (CPSM) certification is an advantage, though not required.
- Demonstrates leadership, accountability, and a collaborative mindset.
- Invests in team development through mentorship, coaching, and constructive feedback,empowering staff to perform at their best and grow in their careers.
- Builds strong relationships with internal teams and external partners.
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and shifting priorities.
- Inspires creativity and continuous improvement within the marketing team.
- Proven experience leading marketing or proposal efforts and supervising staff.
- Strong strategic thinking and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication, writing, editing, and presentation skills.
- High attention to quality of work while overseeing team workload and QA/QC.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, and CRM/proposal tracking tools.
- Participation in industry events and professional organizations to develop a network of contacts and stay current with industry, client, and competitor activity.
- Strong understanding of firm's business practices including financials, goals, policies, and procedures.
- Embrace technology and ever-advancing communications and organizational tools to support marketing's function.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Ability to read, write and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.
