HOURS: Monday - Friday REPORTS TO: Catalog Manager FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt Pre-employment Screening: Background Check, Education Verification, References, Drug Test, Typing Test WORK FROM HOME STATUS: Eligible After a period of in-person training and time working onsite with your team, this role has the option to work remotely (in WI only at this time). In general, this timeframe tends to be 1-2 weeks. Note that there will be situations when someone may choose or be asked to return on-site, which would be coordinated and scheduled in advance. We work with businesses and organizations of all kinds to provide them with personalized promotional products. As a marketing proofreader, you'll primarily assist in deadline-sensitive, highly detailed proofreading and copy editing for U.S. and Canada catalogs, newsletters, other print projects and e-marketing. Here's what a typical day might look like. (These are the essential functions of the job.) Other duties may be assigned.
- Demonstrate the eight core principles that guide every 4imprint teammate on a daily basis: Honesty, Curiosity, Collaboration, Flexibility, Accountability, Empathy, Positive Attitude, Humility.
- Proofread U.S. and Canada print projects to ensure they meet established standards as to content and appearance.
- Compare product copy information/specs to Product Maintenance (PM), the 4imprint website and vendor information to ensure accuracy.
- Check spelling and grammar of product copy, headlines and logos.
- Ensure design elements agree with specs/information provided.
- Review proofs for layout of text and graphics and suggest revisions as appropriate.
- Ensure all pertinent, accurate detail is included in copy, even if not provided in PM or vendor information.
- Use pagination reports to ensure correct products and design elements are included on print pieces.
- Proofread and/or copy edit miscellaneous digital, social and print marketing pieces for structure and clarity and based on company styles and voice as needed.
- Participate in other companywide proofreading and copy-editing projects.
- Participate in training classes and actively seek professional development.
- Maintain a current understanding of trends and updates in your role.

Required education/skills/experience:
- Bachelor's degree in related field.
- Applicants with equivalent, relevant experience will also be considered.
- At least 1 year of experience in content proofreading, preferably in marketing/catalog.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (primarily Word and Excel), Adobe Acrobat editing tools and Windows.
- Minimum typing speed of 45 wpm.
