Minimum Job Requirements
- Physical- capable of occasionally lifting 50 lbs safely or with assistance, good mobility with ability to stand for long periods of time and bend easily to shrink wrap package goods or with reasonable accommodations.
- Working Hours- full time
- Personal Traits- Good communications and positive teamwork attitude. Conscientious attention to detail and accuracy. Dependable.
- Valid Driver's License and the ability to drive truck to and from facilities.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for counting goods to be shipped and agreeing to job travelers. Sign for goods received and ensure received goods not damaged, note exceptions if necessary. Responsible to create internal and external shipping documents. Has the authority to drive the company van and car for company business. Authority to use company forklift if trained. Responsible for producing quality workmanship, which meets or exceeds requirements.
- * Count goods to be shipped and agree to job traveler.
- * General inspection to determine if the quality of shipped goods and received goods are good and not damaged.
- * Sign for shipments from various carriers. Inspect to ensure boxes and goods are not damaged, note and report exceptions.
- * Drive company van and car.
- * Fuel company van and car after use.
- * Pack and shrink wrap product for shipment.
- * Use forklift to move skids, load trucks, shrink wrap.
- * Staging shipments as directed by supervisor.
- * Create internal and external shipping documents.
- * Track shipments through or external shipping companies.
- * Enter shipping and receiving transactions into VISTA and troubleshoot as necessary.
- * Accurately maintain MES system as instructed.
- * Maintain a clean and uncluttered environment in the shipping area.
- * Arrive to work in a punctual manner and work overtime as needed.
- * Assist with monthly inventory process as requested.
- * Other ad hoc duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Must be able to follow direction
- Good organization skills and ability to multi-task
- Basic math, reading and communication skills
- Computer (basic) skills
- Forklift driving experience preferred
Education and Experience
- * Prior manufacturing experience preferred. Minimum of one year experience in Shipping & Receiving preferred
