A day in the life:

The Special Services Foreman is responsible for overseeing special cleaning services and supervising front-line personnel. This position ensures compliance with company and client standards, coordinates daily assignments, maintains inventory, and promotes safety and efficiency. The role requires hands-on leadership to uphold service excellence and contribute to client satisfaction.

Provide day-to-day supervision of porters, matrons, and special services staff.
• Assign tasks based on job requirements, client requests, and operational priorities.
• Conduct routine quality inspections to ensure compliance with Harvard and client standards.
• Train new and existing staff on proper cleaning techniques and safety procedures.
• Ensure proper use and availability of safety equipment and personal protective gear.
• Order and distribute cleaning supplies, tools, and equipment as needed.
• Review and process work tickets, verifying task completion and accuracy.
• Perform general maintenance and upkeep of cleaning equipment.
• Manage and participate in general cleaning activities as required.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in janitorial or commercial cleaning services.
• Prior supervisory experience preferred.
• Valid state driver's license required.
• Proficiency in English (verbal and written communication skills).
• Ability to draft and complete basic business documentation.
• Strong leadership, time management, and problem-solving skills.
