Payroll Specialist

Salary Range: $55,000 - $65,000

Honor Foods is hiring a Payroll Specialist to manage accurate, compliant payroll processing across multiple locations. This role partners closely with Human Resources and Finance to support payroll administration, audits, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced, multi-state environment.

  Process payroll for multi-location and multi-state employee populations

  Review payroll data, resolve discrepancies, and manage complex payroll issues

  
  
• 
  

  Maintain payroll records including hires, terminations, pay changes, deductions, and garnishments

  
  
• 
  

  Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, tax, and wage and hour laws

  
  
• 
  

  Coordinate tax withholdings, reporting, and payroll audits

  
  
• 
  

  Serve as payroll subject matter expert for policies, procedures, and systems

  
  
• 
  

  Reconcile payroll reports, general ledger entries, and accruals with Finance

  
  
• 
  

  Support payroll process improvements and HRIS/payroll system upgrades

  
  

• 
  

  3+ years of payroll processing experience (multi-location or multi-state highly preferred)

  
  
• 
  

  Strong knowledge of payroll compliance, employment law, and tax regulations

  
  
• 
  

  Experience with Ceridian Dayforce or similar payroll/HRIS systems

  
  
• 
  

  Advanced Excel skills (data analysis, reconciliations)

  
  
• 
  

  High level of confidentiality and attention to detail

  
  

Preferred: CPP or FPC certification, HR and Finance partnership experience, Total Rewards exposure
