Position Summary

Odyssey Systems is seeking a dynamic Manager, Learning & Development to lead the strategy, design, and delivery of enterprise-wide learning initiatives that build organizational capability and advance performance. In this role, you will partner with business leaders to assess development needs and implement innovative, scalable training solutions that support Odyssey's strategic priorities. You will oversee the Learning & Development function and champion programs that cultivate leadership excellence, drive continuous improvement, and foster a culture of growth. Responsibilities

Duties include but are not limited to:
    Strategic Learning Leadership: Partner with senior Odyssey leaders to assess skill gaps and development opportunities, gaining a deep understanding of Business Group strategies and translating them into scalable learning roadmaps that support organizational growth and mission success.
  • Training Design & Implementation: Design, develop, and deploy impactful learning initiatives aligned with business and workforce needs, including employee onboarding, professional development, and management and leadership training programs.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Establish and monitor learning metrics to evaluate program effectiveness, measure return on investment, and deliver actionable insights and strategic reporting to inform leadership decisions.
  • Enterprise Learning Strategy: Collaborate with HR Business Partners across Odyssey to scale learning initiatives enterprise-wide, ensuring consistency, quality, and engaging learning experiences for employees and managers.
  • LMS & Learning Technology Management: Oversee and optimize the Learning Management System (LMS), leveraging learning technologies to deliver an effective, accessible, and engaging learning experience.

Technical & Professional Skills
  • LMS Administration: Experience managing, deploying, and analyzing LMS data, including enrollments, completion rates, and learning effectiveness metrics.
  • Learning Technologies: Proficiency with learning technologies and e-learning tools to support engaging, scalable learning experiences (preferred).
  • Curriculum Development: Ability to design and structure curricula that support organizational and employee development goals.
  • Instructional Design: Expertise in creating effective learning objectives, content, delivery formats, and assessments to drive measurable outcomes.
  • Learning Strategy: Proven ability to develop and execute long-term learning roadmaps aligned with business objectives.
  • Change Management: Experience guiding the adoption of new programs, processes, or learning technologies across the organization.
Leadership & Interpersonal Skills
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate ideas to employees and leaders at all levels.
  • Critical Thinking: Ability to evaluate program effectiveness, analyze data, and make informed, strategic decisions.
  • Collaboration & Influence: Demonstrated ability to lead and collaborate with key stakeholders, subject matter experts, and cross-functional teams to drive results.
