GENERAL SUMMARY: Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. Effectively communicates with the health care team. Demonstrates clinical competence. May require a professional certification which is a regulatory requirement in the State of Michigan or a documented community standard for the position, works independently and in collaboration with principal investigator when appropriate. Henry Ford Medical Center - Hamtramck has primary care providers specializing in family medicine, pediatrics, and obstetrics and gynecology. The site also offers diagnostic and therapy services. Located in downtown Hamtramck, behind the Hamtramck Senior Plaza. Hours: Normally scheduled 8-hour shifts 8AM-4:30PM (2 week pay period -3 days one week and 2 days the second week) Location: Henry Ford Medical Center - Hamtramck--9100Brombach St Hamtramck MI 48212 (May cover the family med unit at this location if needed) Benefits: Part-Time EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. Bachelor's Degree preferred. Successful completion of Henry Ford Ambulatory orientation. Maintains and demonstrates current clinical knowledge in area of specialty. 1+years as a Registered Nurse Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans. Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services. Heavy desk work (in basket, reports, call backs, relaying test results- (currently low patient contact at this time) Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and medical group personnel. Preferred experience in Geriatrics. Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills. CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED: Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse. Current BLS or ACLS per Henry Ford Health policy. Certification will be required when it is a regulatory requirement in the State of Michigan or a documented community standard, i.e., Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN). Additional Information
