Position Summary

NYU Langone Health isseeking a skilled and motivated Sleep Medicine Attending Physician to join our growing outpatient clinical team. This position is designed for physicians with strong interest and experience in sleep disorders, with responsibilities centered on outpatient care, and theoptiontoparticipatein inpatient service within Pulmonary or Critical Care Medicine, depending on training.

Key Responsibilities

Sleep Medicine



  • Provideoutpatientcare for patients with a broad range of sleep disorders, includingsleep breathing disorders,circadian rhythm disorders,sleep related movement disorders, hypersomnolence disorders,parasomniadisorders, insomnia, and more.





  • Interprethome and in-laboratory sleeptesting in accordance withAASM standards and departmental workflows.





  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including pulmonologists,neurologists, otolaryngologists,pediatricians,behavioral sleep medicine providers, andsleeptechnologists.





  • Participate in sleep-relatedquality improvement, clinical pathways, or program development initiatives.



Optional Inpatient Responsibilities



  • Serve on the Pulmonary Consult Service or in the Medical Intensive Care Unit.





  • Supervise trainees including residents, fellows, and advanced practice providers.





  • Participate in call schedules as applicable.



Academic and Teaching Roles



  • Teachmedical students, residents, and fellows in both outpatient and inpatient settings.





  • Engage in sleep-medicine-related educational activities, conferences, or curriculum development.





  • Participate in scholarly work such as clinical research, QI projects, or publications, depending on interest and career goals.



Required



  • MD or DO degree.





  • Board Certification or Eligibility in Sleep Medicine.





  • Board Certification or Eligibility in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine,andCritical Care Medicine (depending on scope of role).





  • Eligibility for a New York State medical license.



Preferred



  • Experience withhome and in-laboratory sleep testingand sleep-related clinical workflows.





  • Interest in hybrid practice combining outpatient sleep medicine with selective inpatient responsibilities.





  • Commitment to academic medicine and trainee education.
