Job Summary The role is responsible for driving profitable growth within an assigned territory by developing and executing strategic plans with independent insurance agencies. This position focuses on generating new business through agency prospecting and appointments, strengthening existing partnerships, and supporting sales initiatives through performance management, training, and targeted promotions. The role serves as a primary point of contact for agents, collaborates closely with sales and underwriting teams, analyzes market and territory performance, and provides insights to leadership to support growth, service excellence, and informed underwriting decisions. Work Location This is a fully remote/work from home role where you will spend 50% of your time in the field, servicing the Southern VA territory. On occasion you may be asked to travel to an office location for in-person engagement activities such as team meetings, training and corporate events. This is a fully remote/work from home role. Responsibilities & Qualifications Summary of Responsibilities Develop and execute strategic plans to maximize business opportunities through independent insurance agencies within the assigned territory. Support, measure, and monitor internal and external sales efforts including short-term promotions, social media opportunities, rollovers, co-op, etc. Create specific goals for each agency that support and stimulate corporate profit and growth objectives. Analyze market trends, policy changes, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to identify growth prospects and best practices. Conducts agency performance evaluations and monitors Partners in Excellence program. Generate new business by prospecting and appointing new agencies and building successful partnerships with them. Work closely with the sales team to meet or exceed sales targets within the territory. Provide product and service information to agents, address inquiries and concerns. Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with agents, underwriters, and other stakeholders in the territory. Act as a primary point of contact for agents, ensuring excellent customer satisfaction and addressing agent needs. Collaborate with underwriting teams. Provide insights and feedback from the territory to support underwriting decisions. Tracks critical agency issues to identify training needs or gaps in service. Monitor and analyze territory performance. Prepare regular reports on key metrics and market trends. Provide feedback to Sales and UW leadership teams on opportunities for improvement and areas of success. Conduct training sessions for agencies on new products, services, and industry updates. Responsible for creating training and sales programs, promotions, events, and other activities utilizing teleconferences, webinars, and social media that assist agents in their sales/profit improvement activities. Preferred Experience and Skills
5 years of professional experience in the property/casualty insurance industry.

Physical Demands Light physical demand in an office setting with duties being performed while sitting or standing. Must be able to use computers and other office equipment, complete forms and documents, and communicate over the telephone and in person. Working Conditions Normal office working conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet. May be required to travel overnight on an as needed basis INDSP Salary Statement The salary range for this position is $96,000-$120,000. The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity. Compensation decisions are made by West Bend and are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
