The Role

This position is responsible for creating automations aimed at streamlining the employee termination and reducing audit findings related to security and compliance.

About the Team

As an Automation developer, you will work with the SAP Center of Excellence (CoE). The SAP team is a multifaceted team within PACCAR that focuses on providing PACCAR's business book of record from financials to manufacturing. As part of a diversified global Fortune 500 company, the SAP team works on a huge variety of projects and daily operations: from Financials, HR, to Manufacturing. The SAP team is PACCAR's leading ERP team, working on high-impact and high-visibility projects.

Job Functions / Responsibilities
  • Analyze current termination workflows to identify repetitive and time-consuming tasks suitable for automation.
  • Collaborate with closely with SAP COE Team, RPA CoE, and Audit teams to follow development standards, best practices, and governance policies for automation.
  • Design, develop, and test automation scripts or tools to improve efficiency and accuracy in the termination process.
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of automation initiatives in reducing errors and audit risks.
  • Assist in documenting automated processes and prepare training materials for end-users.
  • Stay informed about best practices in process automation and compliance standards.

Qualifications
Required:
  • Understanding SAP, a plus: Familiarity with SAP Security or SAP modules depending on the automation focus.
  • Expertise in automation tools (e.g. UiPath, scripting languages) and workflow management.
  • Experience in ABAP or Cloud development (e.g. Python, JavaScript, VBScript, or C# for automation outside SAP or integrating with other systems)
Preferred:
  • Understanding of audit principles, compliance, and risk management is a plus.
  • Proactive, strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and process improvement. Clear documentation of automation process and workflows.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Ability to analyze existing manual processes and design efficient automation solutions.
  • Debugging and troubleshooting SAP scripts and automation workflows.
  • Strong Collaboration skills:Working with cross-functional teams (IT, audit, quality).
Education
  • Undergraduate degree in IT, Computer Science or related field desired in progress or recently completed
