CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking a Business Practice Leader - MEP to provide expert guidance, visionary leadership, and technical excellence for our MEP Team in Albany, NY; Boston, MA; Charlotte, NC; Atlanta, GA; or working remotely. This is your opportunity to champion business practice performance, inspire teams, and drive sustainable growth across markets.



What You'll Do:

    Inspire and develop a highperforming team while maintaining strong awareness of morale and engagement
  • Drive strategic growth, positioning the Business Practice as a recognized industry leader
  • Ensure exceptional project delivery, consistent standards, and high client satisfaction
  • Lead financial performance-setting targets, managing budgets, and optimizing key metrics
  • Strengthen project management excellence and guide technical approaches across the practice
  • Align staffing and resources to meet workload demands and support organizational goals
  • Champion crosspractice collaboration to enhance efficiency and enterprise success
  • Advance business development efforts, representing the practice in proposals, interviews, and market outreach


What You Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering required; Master's degree preferred
  • Minimum of 15 years of progressive engineering experience required
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required
  • Expert knowledge of engineering fundamentals and specialty areas
  • Advanced proficiency in engineering, computational, and modeling software (Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.) as well as Microsoft Office
  • Deep understanding of QA/QC procedures, business practices, and engineering laws
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to lead teams in a collaborative environment
  • Persuasive, articulate communicator-effective oneonone, in teams, and with large groups
  • Strong strategic mindset with the ability to position the practice for growth and technical excellence
  • Deep understanding of Business Practice operations, future service opportunities, and market needs
  • Demonstrated financial management experience with solid P&L comprehension
  • High energy, results-oriented leader with the ability to influence across all levels of the organization
  • Strong ability to manage confidential information, resolve issues quickly, and drive initiatives to completion
  • Proven relationship builder skilled in motivating teams and fostering cross organizational collaboration
  • Participation in professional engineering societies/organizations preferred

Salary Range:

$180,000 - $200,000

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
