LFS WAREHOUSE WORKER 2

LFS, Inc. was established in 1967 and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Trident Seafoods. Our corporate headquarters is in Bellingham, WA and we have three year-round locations in Washington State: Bellingham, Seattle, and Poulsbo. LFS also has five year-round locations in Alaska: Anchorage, Cordova, Dutch Harbor, Homer (Kachemak Gear Shed), and Sitka; and two seasonal locations in Dillingham and Naknek. While our core business is supplying the commercial fishing industry, we have evolved to include industrial and sports netting sales, hydraulic sales and services, wholesale/industrial sales, recreational marine and outdoor sales, and internet sales.

Job Summary: Receives, stores, and distributes material, tools, equipment, and products by performing the following duties:

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately pick, process, and invoice parcel shipments for customer orders using standardized process (UPS, USPS, FedEX, Alaska Air Cargo)
• Process and schedule all LFS Alaska division's freight (process hazardous material paperwork/BOL paperwork for all the LFS division's shipments from the Distribution Center [training will be provided].
• Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, stock picker, and other material-handling equipment, conducting routine maintenance checks. (Forklift certified/or can be trained to be certified)
• Uses computer and bar codes reader to scan materials in and out of inventory and create shipping documents.
• Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and free of hazards, reporting any maintenance or safety issues to supervisor.
• Good communication skills needed to communicate through email and phone calls with salesman, department leads, and division managers regarding stock requests and customer orders.
• Follow company policies and guidelines, participating in training programs to promote a safe work environment.
• Have basic knowledge of all aspects of warehousing, receiving, shipping and inventory control.
• Accuracy and attention to detail are a vital part of this position.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Acquires knowledge of LFS's Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activities in accordance with training and procedures/work instructions.
• Notifies designated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks not previously documented, in accordance with Environmental Awareness and/or safety training.
• Performs other similar or related duties as assigned.

This is a full time year round benefited position.

Pay Range for this position is: $21-$23 DOE

Job Requirements:

Required Qualifications (education, years of experience, KSAs):

Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); plusone to twoyearsrelated experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

• Must be forklift certified; or able to become forklift certified.
• HAZMAT Training

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2-3years previous experience working in warehouse.
• Previous HAZMAT training

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, as well as talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to taste or smell. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to fifty pounds; must occasionally lift and/or move up to seventy pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
