As a Security Guard - Media Facility Patrols in Bessemer, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a leading tech and media location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents while remaining highly visible to those you serve. You will interact with employees and visitors, provide outstanding customer service, and respond to security-related situations with professionalism. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, responding to emergency situations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing training provided by Allied Universal.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including both business areas and the perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Observe and report any security-related irregularities, such as property damage, equipment malfunctions, or unauthorized persons within the location.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal management regarding security-related matters.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points and checking credentials as required by site-specific policies.
• Complete required documentation and incident reports accurately and in a timely manner as directed by Allied Universal procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
• Experience with X-ray screening is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
