This is an exciting opportunity to join the Services Supply Chain team. We drive customer satisfaction by ensuring the right parts are in the right place at the right time. The ideal candidate will become part of an established team of world class supply chain professionals who manage inventory investments to support our customer's needs and exceed delivery expectations. This position is critical to the success of Cisco's customer experience and profitability.

Your Impact

As the leader of the Service Planning team, you will be responsible for ensuring effective customer support by strategically planning and positioning service inventory to have the right part, in the right place, at the right time, all while optimizing costs. You will lead a team of Service Planners who oversee the ordering and allocation of service inventory across a global network of depots to fulfill customer hardware replacement requests. We are seeking an experienced and highly analytical supply chain professional with a solid background in planning and advanced analytics, capable of aggregating and acting on information to develop optimal solutions. In this Senior Manager role, you will play a key part in improving the Service Stock Availability Rate (SSAR) for our depots, which is crucial for meeting customer SLAs. Key responsibilities include:

  • Craft and strengthen a team of Service Planners to analyze and plan based on portfolio strategies, CX sales strategies, corporate plans, compliance and regulations.
  • Ensure the team maintains optimal levels of service inventory to meet customer demand throughout the life cycle of each product utilizing planning software.
  • Guide on the strategic decisions related to sourcing & deploying additional products to replenish inventory in a timely manner, while focusing on cost impacts.
  • Lead the team to proactively identify potential inventory shortages in order to improve the Service Stock Availability Rate (SSAR).
  • Demonstrate a high level of customer service focus in partnership with the Customer Delivery Management team, including the support of customer escalations for the Americas.
  • Drive a "best-in-class" Service Planning team by collaborating multi-functionally with global partners including Finance, Remanufacturing, Customer Quality, Logistics, Customer Delivery Management and the Central S&L teams to ensure cost and operational targets are met.
  • Guide a team with strong analytical skills to assess, frame and action data informed decisions. Lead and mentor organization to build models that analyze "what-if" scenarios for forward looking planning purposes. Recognize underlying themes and patterns and reduce sophisticated data to a few key conclusions that can easily be understood by others.
  • Lead multi-functional teams to achieve results by identifying and aligning to shared goals, priorities and commitments. Able to hold peers, partners and yourself accountable to commitments.
  • Focus on standardization, automation and scalability of processes, data and analytics. Consistent measurement and improvement of key deliverables.
Minimum Qualifications
  • At least 10 years of Supply chain experience (Cisco or Industry) in Planning and Planning leadership roles. Experience in end-to-end planning processes, inventory management, product life-cycle management, supply chain financials, and / or supply chain modeling experience.
  • Previous experience as a subject matter specialist on how supply chain decisions drive business performance with deep understanding of general business concepts and principles including return on investment calculations to drive data informed decisions.
  • Confidently presents own position despite resistance or unfavorable reactions from others. Balances problems or conflicts openly and directly. Has the conviction to take risks, make decisions and advance when needed to achieve desired business outcomes.
  • 3+ years of people management experience of professional-level employees responsible for Service Planning operational activities and projects.
  • Previous experience translating business and process improvement strategies into clear operational objectives and plans, including managing resources, budgets, and schedules.

Anticipates future threats and opportunities for our customers and businesses, and makes decisions based on global business conditions and strategies. Strategies are inclusive of data and intuition and encompass whole systems thinking.
  • Capable of leading conversations to influence and drive better decisions with multiple partners, often at the Director and VP levels.
  • Broad understanding of Cisco's customers, markets and products. Understands Cisco's business approaches and macro business environment. Able to align internal processes with corporate objectives. Can effectively represent that understanding in meaningful ways to others.

Individual pay is determined by the candidate's hiring location, market conditions, job-related skillset, experience, qualifications, education, certifications, and/or training. The full salary range for certain locations is listed below. For locations not listed below, the recruiter can share more details about compensation for the role in your location during the hiring process.

U.S. employees are offered benefits, subject to Cisco's plan eligibility rules, which include medical, dental and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with a Cisco matching contribution, paid parental leave, short and long-term disability coverage, and basic life insurance. Employees may be eligible to receive grants of Cisco restricted stock units, which vest following continued employment with Cisco for defined periods of time.

U.S. employees are eligible for paid time away as described below, subject to Cisco's policies:

  • 10 paid holidays per full calendar year, plus 1 floating holiday for non-exempt employees

  • 1 paid day off for employee's birthday, paid year-end holiday shutdown, and 4 paid days off for personal wellness determined by Cisco

  • Non-exempt employees** receive 16 days of paid vacation time per full calendar year, accrued at rate of 4.92 hours per pay period for full-time employees

  • Exempt employees participate in Cisco's flexible vacation time off program, which has no defined limit on how much vacation time eligible employees may use (subject to availability and some business limitations)

  • 80 hours of sick time off provided on hire date and each January 1st thereafter, and up to 80 hours ofunused sick timecarried forwardfrom one calendar yearto the next

  • Additional paid time away may be requested to deal with critical or emergency issues for family members

  • Optional 10 paid days per full calendar year to volunteer

For non-sales roles, employees are also eligible to earn annual bonuses subject to Cisco's policies.

Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components, subject to the applicable Cisco plan. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco typically pays as follows:

  • .75% of incentive target for each 1% of revenue attainment up to 50% of quota;

  • 1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%;

  • 1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%; and

  • Once performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation.

For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay 0% up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.

New York City Metro Area:

$187,000.00 - $278,700.00

Non-Metro New York state & Washington state:

$168,800.00 - $246,900.00

* For quota-based sales roles on Cisco's sales plan, the ranges provided in this posting include base pay and sales target incentive compensation combined.

** Employees in Illinois, whether exempt or non-exempt, will participate in a unique time off program to meet local requirements.
