The Role

The Talent Attraction and Acquisition Associate will play a critical role in supporting the effective functioning of the division and provide significant administrative and operational support to the Talent Attraction and Acquisition team. In this role, you will support the facilitation of critical functions to ensure we are able to attract, recruit, hire and onboard staff who deliver our mission for children at home and abroad.

What You'll Be Doing (Essential Duties)

Administrative Management for Talent Acquisition (40%)



  • Serve as knowledge management and continuous improvement champion for relevant processes, procedures, systems, SaveNet sites, and tools. Stay up to date on new and useful tools. Train other staff as needed
  • Responsible for the overall management and maintenance of the Talent Acquisition job description and template library including collecting, formatting, and publishing all SCUS policies in a centralized online location, working closely with departments across the organization to ensure that policies are current, clear, and effectively communicated
  • Ensure completion and accuracy of information, compliance with internal procedures, and real-time, accurate, and thorough documentation of recruitment efforts, interview notes, pre-hire processes and completion of all necessary steps to report on and close out recruitment files
  • Enter and update all requisitions and accompanying applicant files via our Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
  • Set up, distribute and track candidate prescreening questions & responses through our online portal
  • Coordinate Help Desk requests by submitting, tracking and responding to ticket requests related to candidates, new hires and recruitment processes
  • As needed, organize with hiring managers to support the scheduling of screening and panel interviews
  • Support the completion of reference checks, background checks and MDS checks of finalist candidates, escalating any variances as per our process
  • Support the temporary and direct hire process by working with and maintaining relations with contracted staffing agency vendors
  • Other duties and projects as assigned


Intern, Fellow, and Auxiliary Staffing (30%)



  • Champion Save the Children's Intern and Fellow program, executing proactive recruitment advertising to build interest in our programs for students, screening applicants, and presenting slates of candidates to intern and fellowship hiring managers
  • Design and facilitate onboarding and engagement activities for intern, fellow and volunteer program participants
  • Serve as the point of contact for auxiliary staffing requests, including processing background checks for volunteers, interns and fellows and addressing any service concerns
  • Ensure that all open vacancies are advertised as appropriate on existing website partners
  • Engage and promote our positions with educational institutions, professional groups, and other resources


Onboarding Tracking & Compliance (30%)



  • Manage the onboarding system tasks & tracking to ensure successful work authorization verifications, reverifications and communication for all new hires and key stakeholders prior to start dates
  • Administrative support for the facilitation of all New Hire Orientations in collaboration with TAA team
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen existing programs, and partner with business leaders to incorporate improvements in both agency-wide and division-specific onboarding programs


Required qualifications for the role



  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent, plus at least 2 years of relevant experience or education
  • Demonstrated experience with full cycle recruitment including sourcing qualified talent
  • Demonstrated client service with a proven ability to build effective external and internal relationships and networks
  • Demonstrated experience utilizing Applicant Tracking Systems
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and proven successful interpersonal and team organizational skills
  • Professional proficiency in MS Office suite
  • Professional proficiency in spoken and written English


          Preferred qualifications for the role



          • Familiarity with Handshake (college recruitment platform) and LinkedIn Recruiter


          Compensation

          This is a non-exempt position and if you work more than 40 hours in a work week, you will be paid overtime compensation at a rate of 1.5 times your hourly rate. Save the Children is offering the following salary ranges for this position, dependent on candidate location:



            • Geo 1 - NY Metro, DC, and other locations with labor costs significantly above national average: Target hourly pay for this position is $29.22 - $32.66


            • Geo 2 - Locations around the US National Labor Cost Average: Target hourly pay for this position is $25.95 - $29.00


            • Geo 3 - Locations significantly below the US National Labor Cost Average: Target hourly pay for this position is $23.91 - $26.72


            Actual base salary may vary based on, but not limited to, relevant experience, base salary of internal peers, business sector, and geographic location (more information on job structure is available here).
