The Job

The Research Analyst provides research support and analytical insight across a broad range of investment and operational initiatives. You will work closely with members of the research team to support data gathering, market and manager research, due diligence, and the development of research and educational materials. In addition, the Research Analystill contribute to both ongoing and long-term research projects, with a primary focus on private equity and real assets (both private and public), while collaborating across asset classes and engaging with teams throughout the Firm. This position is based in Portsmouth, NH or Boston, MA.

What You'll Do

  • Assist with private equity and real assets manager due diligence, monitoring, and manager searches, including data review and analysis
  • Support market, universe, and peer research projects under the guidance of senior team members
  • Participate in manager calls and meetings and prepare summaries and research notes
  • Contribute to asset class committee materials, reports, and presentations for internal and external use
  • Review and summarize information from manager materials, due diligence documents, and external data sources
  • Generate and distribute performance, market, and economic reports using research platforms such as PitchBook, Refinitiv, FactSet, and Tableau
  • Collaborate with research team members across asset classes to support research initiatives and team workflows

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or business-related field (preferred but not required)
  • Interest in pursuing CFA, CAIA and/or other related degree-program(s) over time
  • 1-3 years of investment experience
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced, deadline-oriented office environment
  • Willingness to periodically travel between offices, to conferences, manager meetings, etc.
  • Experience using systems such as QuickBase, tableau, investment metrics, FactSet, and/or Refinitiv preferred

Compensation:

  • This role is classified at grade level 4, with a starting base salary range of $56,900 - $69,700.
  • Where you fall within this range will be based on your skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity. We typically aim to welcome a new employee on the lower end of the given salary range to ensure room to grow as performance measures are met.
  • In addition to base pay, all positions are bonus-eligible - because we believe your contributions should be recognized and rewarded.
