IMPACT and OPPORTUNITY:
Gentherm is seeking a dynamic Clinical Manager to champion the adoption, utilization, and optimization of our medical device product portfolio across acute care settings, including the Operating Room (OR) and Intensive Care Unit (ICU) through education and technical support.
This role will act as a clinical liaison between our customers and internal teams (marketing, sales, and R&D) ensuring our solutions deliver exceptional outcomes for patients and providers. This role requires a strong clinical background and may involve creating documentation, conducting training, and collaborating on product development.
This role reports to the Sr. Manager, Marketing & Communications.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Customer and KOL Engagement & Support
- Serve as a clinical resource during product evaluations, implementations, and troubleshooting.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with KOLs and manage strategic KOL programs
Clinical Education & Training
- Provide clinical and technical support for major customers across our regions of operation and sales.
- Demonstrate fluency in industry standards, practices, and regulations.
- Represent Gentherm at clinical conferences, workshops, and industry events.
- Utilize Evidence-Based Approach (scientific studies, Health Economics, etc.)
- Develop and deliver clinical and product training for internal and external audiences.
Collaboration
- Partner with sales to expand and retain key accounts, deliver field-based insights to R&D and marketing for product innovation, and create impactful clinical materials and case studies to support adoption.
- Contribute to new product development efforts including voice of customer research, understanding and educating teams on relevant clinical issues, customer product evaluation, and technical writing.
- Gain and share knowledge of new products and new practices in acute and surgical patient care.
- Provide clinical review for Quality and Regulatory procedures including Complaints, Field Actions, SOPs.
- Interact with academic institutions and support future clinical trials and studies (according to ethics and compliance standards).
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution in Nursing or Equivalent Academic Provision
- At least five (5) years of clinical experience in your licensure specialty in a private, public, government or military environment
- Certification(s) that could include: Registered Nurse (RN), Certified Perioperative Nurse (CNOR), Certified Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN), Certified Registered Nurse First Assistant (CRNFA), Registered Nurse Assistant at Surgery Certified (RNAS-C), National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting Certified Surgical Technologist (CRT)
- Exceptional clinical knowledge in patient temperature management and knowledge of OR workflows, procedures, roles and responsibilities, etc.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, presentation and listening skills; ability to work well within a team
- Active member in a relevant professional organization (e.g., AORN or AST)
- Advanced proficiency in use of Microsoft Office suite including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ten (10) years of clinical experience in your licensure specialty in a private, public, government or military environment
- Five (5) years of industry experience in a clinical role supporting a business entity outside of a hospital or patient care setting.
- Experience with minimally invasive and/or robotic cases
- Advanced degree (MBA, PhD, etc.)
- Experience with multiple call points and interdisciplinary teams.
- Familiarity with hospital procurement and value analysis processes.
- Proven experience in clinical education using simulation and workshop approaches
- Demonstrated success in building clinical marketing programs and collateral to drive product/procedure growth
- Experience/proficiency with presentations/public speaking
