Primary Purpose

The Senior Director of Product Marketing is a strategic leader responsible for defining and managing the go-to-market strategy for Bright Horizons products and services. This includes taking the lead with product positioning, messaging, and storytelling and developing and managing end-to-end product marketing strategies in response to multiple inputs - including buyer/end user needs, stakeholder feedback, product features, and market trends - to maximize purchase and utilization of Bright Horizons.

As a leader on the Marketing team, the Senior Director will have an important voice in decisions related to marketing and product-/service-specific messaging, research, and thought leadership initiatives. This leader will define the marketing strategy for a critical product/service within the Bright Horizons portfolio.

This is a hybrid position requiring 3 days a week onsite at our headquarters in Newton, MA.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

  • Build and manage end-to-end product marketing strategies, including research to understand our audiences and differentiation, own the development of product value propositions/positioning, orchestrate with internal teams to generate awareness, product launch and go-to-market strategies, ongoing measurement and optimization.
  • Monitor market and competitive trends shaping the market and deeply understand marketplace dynamics to determine the strategic points of differentiation for Bright Horizons; respond with new strategies, messaging and campaigns that keep Bright Horizons top-of-mind with current and potential buyers.
  • Foster a data-first culture: Leverage analytics to help determine go-to-market strategies and collaborate with marketing teams, sales teams, and strategic vendors to execute.
  • Craft impactful stories and effective marketing strategies by deeply understanding our consumer and B2B clients and their unique needs.
  • Serve as voice of the customer; possess deep understanding of the business strategy and be able to translate business imperatives into actionable and measurable marketing strategies.
  • Leverage analytics to determine go-to-market strategies involving segments, and target buyers, and collaborate cross-functionally to help inform campaign and program strategy.
  • As a key member of the Marketing team, the candidate will have an important voice in decisions related to brand and service-specific marketing. This individual will lead the Marketing strategy for critical Bright Horizons products/services.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree - Required
  • 8+ years of marketing experience, preferably in the enterprise space

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience developing product collateral and messaging that directly supports marketing campaigns
  • Adept at managing tight timelines, competing priorities, and projects that span multiple departments
  • Ability to cultivate strong relationships internally and externally, including with client and partner organizations
  • Proven track record defining, staffing, and developing high-performing teams
  • Fluent in demand generation strategies, tactics, and success metrics
  • Demonstrated success developing campaigns that measurably generate interest in a product or service
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Skilled public speaker with experience presenting to peers and external audiences in live and virtual settings
  • Analytical thinker, capable of assessing how marketing efforts contribute to opportunity creation and organizational growth
  • Proficient in marketing automation and CRM systems for campaign development and reporting

Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $161,000-$180,000. The pay range listed here is what Bright Horizons in good faith anticipates offering for this job opening. Actual compensation offers within this range will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education and training, certifications, geography, and other relevant business or organizational factors.

This position is also eligible for a bonus and RSUs.
