Manager Engineering & Design Management

The Engineering & Technology Manager is responsible for leading engineering design and technology development for point of use process gas abatement equipment. This role combines strategic technology leadership with operational engineering management to ensure innovative, safe, and efficient solutions that meet customer requirements and industry standards. The position oversees engineering staff, drives product development, and serves as a technical liaison with customers and internal teams.

• Oversee and direct engineers and design staff for system design and fabrication projects.
• Manage design schedules to meet project critical paths and budgets.
• Establish and enforce engineering standards, document control, and design review processes.
• Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards in design and execution.

• Define system requirements based on customer applications and process needs.
• Guide new product development and integration of advanced features into product releases.
• Research and select system components for new designs; analyze gas flow and abatement requirements.
• Maintain awareness of latest technical and commercial developments in abatement technologies.

• Work closely with customers to understand technical specifications and troubleshoot application issues.
• Provide technical expertise and support during sales processes and project quotations.
• Coordinate with Sales, Operations, and Manufacturing teams to ensure seamless project execution.

• Schedule and run project meetings; track and manage action items.
• Recruit, develop, and manage engineering staff; conduct performance evaluations.
• Foster a productive, team-oriented environment and ensure compliance with company policies.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in engineering and technology roles, including abatement system design and semiconductor industry processes.
• Proven experience managing engineering teams and complex projects.
• Strong knowledge of physics, thermodynamics, and material science.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and engineering tools; ability to write technical documents and deliver presentations.
