Hours & Pay

Pay Rate: $40.90-$60.00 per hour

Schedule: Rotating shifts covering a 24/7 operation



  • 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
  • 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM
  • 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM



What You'll Do



  • Operate and maintain the Central Utilities Plant, including steam boilers, chillers, refrigeration systems, potable water wells, compressors, and a wastewater treatment plant.
  • Monitor and control plant operations to ensure compliance with New Jersey regulations and operating permits.
  • Perform routine inspections, troubleshooting, and general maintenance on industrial steam and cooling systems.
  • Conduct water quality testing and manage chemical treatment for boilers, condensate systems, chilled water, and wastewater processes.
  • Respond to equipment issues quickly to minimize downtime and maintain maximum operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate closely with other plant operators and mechanics to support safe, continuous plant operations.
  • Document operational data and maintenance activities accurately using computer-based tools.



What We're Looking For



  • Valid New Jersey Black Seal Boiler License (required).
  • Minimum of four years of apprentice training or equivalent experience, plus completion of a vocational or trade school program.
  • Proven experience operating and maintaining central utility or industrial plant systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and hands-on experience with repairs and preventative maintenance.
  • Working knowledge of water treatment processes and quality control.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts in a 24/7 operating environment.
