Title: Mechanical Engineer (Mobility) Industry: Military Vehicles Pay Duration: 55.00 - 84.00 per hour 12 month plus contract to hire Mobility Engineer 55.00 (5-7 years exp) / SR Mobility 60.00 - 84.00 (10 plus years exp) REQUIRED: BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering / U.S Citizen / TDP / CREO / TEAMCENTER / GD&T / MATLAB / SIMULINK / Evaluation of multiple Powerpack configurations in-vehicle using different Engine, Transmission, MGU, Cooling, Air handling and Final drive configurations and components. Liaise directly or indirectly with suppliers of Powerpack modules and components. Component through to Installation and Assembly level Design release responsibility. Interface with internal stakeholders including IPT lead, Physical Architect, Systems Engineers, Functional Leadership, FUPP Lead, Chief Engineer, Logistics, Manufacturing and attribute managers/stake holders. Support internal report out to program stakeholders, customers and organizational leadership. Derive final design pathways and refine to design release and approval. Simulation of torque blending in parallel hybrid system. Controller/logic tuning for fuel consumption, charging and vehicle range. Thermal models of power electronics, batteries, and powertrain components. Battery Management System modeling. Multidomain powertrain models coupling engine, e-machine, batteries, and electronic components. Development of toolsets for evolving architectures.
