Ballard Spahr LLP seeks to hire a Project Assistant for the Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac Housing Finance practice group in the Washington, D.C. office. The project assistant will collaborate with lawyers, legal administrative assistants, paralegals, closing coordinators, and legal support assistants within the practice group to provide timely, high-quality support.

This hybrid position offers a work schedule of 3 days a week in the Washington, D.C. office.

Your Role:

As a Project Assistant within our Finance team, you will:

  • Assist with file management.
  • Assemble closing documentation.
  • Assist with post-closing loan deliveries.
  • Follow up for receipt of recorded loan documents.
  • Perform administrative functions such as expense reimbursement requests and entering attorney time.

Required Experience:

Requirements include a 2-year college degree or relevant work experience as a legal administrative assistant or closing coordinator, preferably with a title company, mortgage company, law firm or other firm providing services to borrowers, lenders, or mortgage companies. An intermediate level with Microsoft Office, document management, and time keeping systems is required.

The salary range for this position is from $55,000 - $65,000, which reflects the Firm's good faith and reasonable estimate of possible compensation at the time of posting. Actual pay will depend on several factors such as the candidate's experience and qualifications.
