Position Title: Machine Operator

QPS Employment Group has a great opportunity available for a Machine Operator at a company in St. Francis, WI. This is a potential to hire position for 2nd shift. Apply today! Machine Operator Responsibilities: - Operate packaging equipment on continuous production lines, including rigid container fillers, bulk fillers, vertical and horizontal pouch fillers, cartoners, labelers, cappers, jar unscramblers, sealers, checkweighers, scales and metal detectors - Monitor equipment performance to ensure continuous, efficient line operation and minimize downtime - Make routine adjustments to machinery to maintain product quality and production standards - Assist with line setups and changeovers in coordination with Setup Team Members - Provide operational support to other packaging lines as needed - Perform basic troubleshooting and report mechanical issues to maintenance or supervision - Disassemble, clean and reassemble equipment following sanitation, allergen control and food safety procedures - Conduct quality checks to ensure products meet company and regulatory standards - Follow food safety requirements, GMPs, HACCP guidelines and company policies - Maintain clean, safe and organized work area Requirements for Machine Operator: - Previous machine operator or manufacturing experience preferred, especially in food or spice production - Knowledge of food safety practices, GMPs, and sanitation procedures preferred - Ability to work effectively in a team-based, fast-paced manufacturing environment - Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety - Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout shift - Ability to bend, twist, reach, push and pull throughout shift - Ability to lift, carry, and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation - Manual dexterity required to operate machinery, tools, and controls - Ability to perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift - Visual acuity required for product inspection, labeling accuracy and equipment monitoring - Ability to hear alarms, signals and verbal instructions in a manufacturing environment - Comfortable working around food ingredients, spices, dust, noise, moving machinery, varying temperatures and cleaning chemicals - Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including hairnets, gloves, safety glasses, and hearing protection IND010 QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
